The Working Frame
Claude Duet is a proactive agent from Anthropic. What it does, how it handles risk, and what you can do in the UK today.

Claude Duet is a new app from Anthropic, announced on 21 October. It is a proactive agent. Each morning it sends a brief on what matters across your connected apps, it messages you during the day only when something needs you, and it carries on working when you've stepped away.
What it can do
Schedule meetings, build dashboards and forecasts, prototype, and make purchases through Stripe's Link. It works with tools such as QuickBooks, Stripe, Gusto, HubSpot, Shopify and LinkedIn.
How it handles risk
Before it sends a message, pays, signs or deletes, it shows you exactly what it will do and waits. Some things are off limits even with approval, such as trading securities or moving money between accounts. It never sees your passwords. 1Password sign-in for Duet is listed as "coming soon".
The catch
It is a research preview on a waitlist, starting in the US, for Pro and Max subscribers. Anthropic's page does not mention the UK. It also says it can misread a thread or misjudge urgency, and it can't yet show you its browser.
What to do now in the UK
Join the waitlist if it opens to you. Meanwhile, the nearest thing you can use is Cowork in the Claude desktop app, with 1Password connected so it can sign in on your behalf. Our 1Password for Claude guide has the steps.
